Blithe Spirit
August 1 – 11, 2012Blithe Spirit concerns socialite and novelist Charles Condomine who, hoping to gather material for his next book, invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant, Madame Arcati, to his house to conduct a séance. The scheme backfires when, following the séance, he is haunted by the ghost of his annoying and temperamental first wife, Elvira. Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles's marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who cannot see or hear the ghost.
More importantly, Ann Whitney, who has spent time as an actor/producer on the big screen, will star in the title role. This play was revived on Broadway in 2009, starring Angela Lansbury. Wagon Wheel favorites, Andy Robinson and Ben Dicke have agreed to return and direct this show.
