Lend Me a TenorAugust 3 13, 2011
Our fifth show of the summer is a comedy titled Lend Me a Tenor. A famous tenor scheduled to sing for a fundraiser at the Cleveland Opera Company, is a victim of mistaken identity, is misunderstood by his wife, and is impersonated by a company manager so the performance can go on as planned. This show is known for its number of stage doors needed to convey the hilarious confusion. Originally appearing on Broadway in 1989, Lend Me a Tenor has become a favorite of college and regional theater throughout the country, and has recently experienced revival in 2010.
